Dish Network

Dish is by far our most popular television service. Usually there is little to no installation or equipment fees. Dish exclusively offers dual tuner receivers, which provide separate programming for two different TV’s with only one box (but two remotes). With the dual tuner receivers available only with Dish you can get up to four televisions for only five dollars extra per month (if the receivers are plugged into a phone line). They offer Digitial Video Recorders (DVR) where you can pause live TV and schedule to record programs in the future, there are also High Definition receiver for HD ready TV’s. There is now a receiver available with an upgrade fee that is a dual tuner, HD, DVR. It will record HD and standard definition on the first TV and has all the functions of a normal DVR on the second TV.

311 Basic

The 311 receiver provides programming for one room. It does have the caller ID feature.

322 Dual tuner
This dual tuner, even though it is only one “box” provides different programming to two different TVs. You actually get two remote controls one for each TV. The second remote is a 200’ UHF remote that will work the 2nd TV feature for the 2nd TV from anywhere in the home. If the 322 is plugged into a phone line Dish won’t charge you the $5 monthly second receiver fee.

This is the one room Digital Video Recorder (DVR) it allows you to pause live TV you can schedule to record programs in the future to be saved to a hard drive. You can retrieve and watch the programs recorded to the hard drive as long as you like then erase them to allow room for more programs.

One advantage of the 625 is that you can schedule the 2nd TV to record a show and watch something diffent on TV1. The 625 also has some recording options that the 510 does not. It is a very popular receiver, not to mention just like the 322 if its plugged into a phone line it’s the same monthly fee as a 510 but has more features.
